Spackenkill Rowing Club was founded for student athletes, with the goal to encourage and inspire an intense passion for the sport of rowing with the knowledge that through dedication and hard work, greatness is achieved. To promote mind and body development through discipline, practice, and structured training. To enable the student athlete to build confidence, leadership skills, team unity, and lasting friendships.

Spackenkill Rowing Club (SRC) is recognized as a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization. The sole function of the SRC is to provide support for the Spackenkill Rowing Team. Spackenkill Rowing Club is a separate entity from the school and school district As it is with other high schools throughout New York State, crew is a club sport at Spackenkill. What this means is that rowing is not fully funded by the school district.
Spackenkill Rowing Club purchases, owns, and maintains all the boats, oars, launches, launch motors, tools and related equipment. In addition, the club owns a 40’ boat trailer and a 12’cargo trailer. The club transports all the boats and equipment to regattas that require travel.
